AES El Salvador, through its División Soluciones informed that with the new charging point in El Encuentro, San Miguel, there are now two public access electric charging stations located in the eastern part of the country. With this, users of electric vehicles can travel from Santa Ana to San Miguel without any problem since the electric company has already placed ten public access charging points in strategic locations to ensure their trip.
All stations of the AES/Blink partnership operate under the self-service model. With the Blink Charging Mobile app, users can create a profile and add a payment method in order to charge the battery of their electric vehicle or motorcycle.
A standard electric car will require just under five hours to fully charge from zero. Charging time also varies by the type of inverter and the capacity of the vehicle's battery.
On average, electric cars have a range of movement of approximately 350 kilometers, enough to tackle routine commutes without a problem or travel around the interior of the country, thanks to the ever-growing network of electro-lane stations.
AES El Salvador and its strategic allies will continue working together in the installation of new charging points to connect more than 325 kilometers of roads, guaranteeing drivers of this type of vehicles greater peace of mind on long trips in the interior of the country.
With these actions, AES El Salvador continues to develop its commitment to transportation with zero emissions of polluting gases, the reduction of noise pollution, and the reduction of hazardous and polluting waste, to continue accelerating the future of energy.
AES El Salvador's commitment to electromobility
Currently, AES El Salvador has a network of 45 charging stations, of which 35 are for the use of its internal fleet of electric vehicles and are installed within its operating plants, while the other 10 stations are part of the new network of commercial chargers established in locations of strategic partners in alliance with Blink.
In addition, 21 electric vehicles are part of the operating fleet of its distribution companies. By the end of 2024, AES plans to have more electric vehicles in its operations, in addition to continuing to expand the network of charging points in public access locations.
