According to the International Labor Organization, the global youth unemployment rate will be 14.9% by 2022, which reflects a slight improvement compared to 2021. Projections indicate that the number of unemployed youth will drop by 2 million in 2022 compared to 2021, despite the fact that there will still be 6 million more unemployed youth in the world than before the health crisis, especially those living in less developed countries.

As part of the 15th anniversary of the Programa Oportunidades of the Fundación Gloria Kriete and thanks to the alliance with the NGO InnovaSpace and the company weSpark, El Salvador will have the first Metaverse science school on Mars. A space called “Oportunidad-X” where students will be able to explore the educational possibilities of the Metaverse.

The Fundación Gloria Kriete and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) celebrated today the eighth graduation of 54 students of the first phase of the Programa Oportunidades in Santa Ana, the young people received, in the same ceremony, a diploma and a scholarship for higher education in technical or long-term careers in one of the 21 partner universities.

Through its Programa Oportunidades, Fundación Gloria Kriete (FGK) graduated this friday 77 young people who completed the Workeys certification, a program that trains young people in the skills currently demanded by the labor market. With this graduation, there are now 329 young people trained under this certification.
