The Walmart supermarket chain announced its commitments for the care of nature, among them is to achieve the total elimination of carbon emissions in 2040 in its establishments. Another objective is to ensure that its branches can operate entirely with 100% renewable energy in the future.

"To become a regenerative company dedicated to placing nature and humanity at the center of our business practices", said Doug McMillon, CEO of Walmart, who has expressed his interest in protecting the environment.

The supermarket company is also looking to reduce the amount of plastic waste sent to landfills to zero by 2025.

Banco de América Central or BAC Credomatic is another bank that has joined the fight for the care of natural resources, through its Yomeuno program, with which it seeks to meet several goals for 2025 and 2035.

Some of the goals that the bank has for the future are: to become an institution that manages waste in an adequate and positive way; to take care of water and reduce the carbon footprint by 2025.

It also seeks the welfare of people in general, helping in the labor inclusion of people with disabilities, seeking gender equity and making the company a leader in strategic social investment to benefit the MSMEs of salvadorans.
