Through 70 immigration control windows set up in the country's main air terminal, we register the entry and exit of more than 8,800 domestic and foreign travelers on a daily basis.
Immigration officers are trained to offer comprehensive and bilingual attention to foreign tourists entering the national territory.
All foreign tourists visiting the country have 180 days to stay in El Salvador and get to know its cultural richness, taste its gastronomy and enjoy national and international events, among other activities.
Likewise, through the different land borders, the Dirección General de Migración y Extranjería registers an average of 23 thousand migratory controls of nationals and foreigners entering and leaving the country.
They will attend with order and agility the flow of travelers that use our land borders to enter El Salvador or to travel to Honduras and Guatemala.
Likewise, in order to avoid crime, the Border Patrols of the Migration Directorate are vigilant in preventing and detecting irregular entries, smuggling, use of false documents, human smuggling and trafficking, among other crimes.
The Central Government will continue to modernize the attention at the country's borders and airports to provide quality service.
