Following up on the delivery of the Master Plan for the Trifinio Region, representatives of the Republics of Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala that make up the Tri-national Commission of the Trifinio Plan held a meeting at the headquarters of the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI).

During the meeting with the directors and CABEI's Executive President, Dr. Dante Mossi, the Tri-national Trifinio Plan Commission presented the actions that can be carried out for the execution of the Master Plan, which is expected to generate opportunities that will contribute to improving the quality of life of almost one million inhabitants of the area.

As a result of CABEI's support in the design of the Master Plan, 7 projects were initially prioritized, which are expected to generate 2,070 direct jobs and 5,650 indirect jobs.

CABEI's participation responds to an integrationist mandate by contributing to the planning and strategic vision that will serve as a guide for short-, medium- and long-term interventions in the territory with investment projects for development and with a focus on environmental sustainability to be implemented over the next 30 years in the 45 municipalities that make up the Trifinio region.

The meeting was attended by the Presidential Designate of Honduras, Doris Gutierrez, the Vice President of El Salvador, Felix Ulloa, the Private Secretary of the Vice Presidency of Guatemala, Juan Jose Cabrera, the Trinational Executive Secretary, Cristian Acosta, the National Executive Directors of the Trifinio Plan for the three countries and CABEI's Board of Directors.
