Partnership for Central America (PCA) announced the appointment of Mauricio Ramos, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Millicom (Tigo), as the new Co-Chair of PCA.

Millicom, Tigo's parent company, has announced the investment of US$700 million to expand and maintain its fixed and mobile broadband networks in Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador over the next two years.

In the framework of the Summit of the Americas 2022, Fundación Terra along with nine companies and organizations joins the Partnership for Central America (PCA), which is an independent organization created in support of the Call to Action announced by Vice President Kamala Harris in may 2021 with the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), through this initiative recognizes the importance of the role of the private sector in addressing the root causes of migration in Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador; It calls on businesses and social organizations to make significant commitments to promote economic opportunities for these countries.
