In the 145th plenary session, the deputies approved, with 71 votes, the initiative that will promote the United Nations World Food Program (WFP) in conjunction with the salvadoran government to implement various strategic plans for food and nutritional security.  

The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and the World Food Program (WFP), gave more than 4,300 small farmers in the country an insurance policy, which will be effective in case weather problems affect their crops.

The world faces an exponential increase in hunger due to the climate crisis if global actions are not urgently taken to help communities adapt to climate shocks and stresses, warned the United Nations World Food Program (WFP) ahead of World Food Day.
