The Central Government is implementing a restorative, eco-friendly and resilient agriculture, to face the impacts of climate change and ensure food security; in that sense, the Ministerio de Agricultura y Ganadería together with the Instituto Interamericano de Cooperación para la Agricultura (IICA) launched the project for the “Construcción de la NAMA en Ganadería Bovina de El Salvador”.

The Ministerio de Agricultura y Ganadería (MAG), announced that next tuesday, may 2nd, a national ban on marine shrimp will begin in order to protect the reproductive cycle of the species. On other occasions, MAG authorities have ordered a ban for approximately one month.

The Vice Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Óscar Domínguez, launched the Animal Nutrition Program trainings, which will provide new knowledge and tools to producers to improve livestock production in the country.

Veterans and former combatants are benefited with the delivery of US$336,000 in seed capital, with the objective of improving the quality of life of their families through the creation of agro-productive projects.

Thanks to the donation made by the People's Republic of China to the Government of El Salvador, the Ministerio de Agricultura y Ganadería (MAG) began the distribution of 6,553 quintals of fertilizers for the direct benefit of farmers who produce in wetlands, irrigation districts and with access to other water resources.
