The Banco Central de Reserva has reported the growth of the economic sectors in El Salvador during the third quarter of 2024, and one of the sectors that grew the most was the electricity sector, which increased 11% in the third quarter of 2023.

The recognition evidences AES's commitment to promote innovation in the electricity sector, in favor of the economic and social development of the communities.

The President of the Comisión Ejecutiva de la Hidroeléctrica del Río Lempa (CEL),Daniel Alvarez together with the President of the Superintendencia General de Electricidad y Telecomunicaciones (SIGET), Manuel Aguilar, attended the Economy Commission of the Legislative Assembly (AL), to provide inputs to the analysis of the proposed Law for the Creation of the Energy, Hydrocarbons and Mines Directorate.
