According to the Ministry of Finance, people have until may 2, 2022 to cancel their debt with the Treasury.

The process is available for individuals and legal entities, in the "Online Services of the DGII" section, where the taxpayer may find the automatic calculation of his income, expenses and taxes withheld that lead him to define his Impuesto Sobre la Renta (ISR).

With the homologation of the Número de Identidad Tributaria (NIT), natural persons will be able to access the platform using the Documento Único de Identidad (DUI), while legal entities and foreigners will continue to access the online services through their NIT.

It is important to remember that the ISR filing is only through the digital system, which brings important benefits for the taxpayer, in which it reflects accurate information of income and ISR withholding, indicates whether or not it is required to file a return, has 7/24 access availability, avoids queues and waits, since it is not necessary to visit the offices of the Ministry of Finance.

The Renta en Línea service has the information submitted by the Withholding Agents, which makes it possible to establish the taxable income subject to withholding that must be declared or included in each return and filed online.
