The Consejo Salvadoreño del Café (CSC) highlighted that investor Samson Mow was visiting the country, precisely to seek opportunities with this agribusiness.

Mow has taken a deep interest in El Salvador due to all the projects that have been promoted from Bitcoin. Now he seeks to expand the possibilities offered by the cryptoasset towards agricultural production.

"A special visit from Samson Mow, interested in supporting Salvadoran coffee projects with the Council", expressed the director of this unit, Carolina Padilla. Mow and the official visited the Coffee School and the Quality Laboratory. In both cases, the current Government has made important investments to modernize and train experts.

International coffee prices remain above US$220 per quintal.

On a similar topic, the Agencia de El Salvador para la Cooperación Internacional (ESCO), announced that different entities followed up on the implementation of the project "Increasing the Incremento del Valor Agregado y Valorización del Café (VIVICAFÉ), which will be supported by the cooperation of the government of Italy.

With VIVICAFÉ, the objective is to rehabilitate coffee plantations with technical assistance, especially for small coffee growers. They will also undertake actions to provide added value in the post-harvest stage, in addition to supporting promotion.

The salvadoran bean, due to its quality and cultivation techniques, is usually sold at a better price; therefore, the Government is looking for windows to promote it, such as the space assigned to the country at Expo Dubai 2020. In that place, the beverage has been a success among visitors.
