Representatives from El Salvador meet with leading chinese companies to identify economic opportunities

The Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Adriana Mira, held a series of meetings with companies based in the city of Hangzhou, an important business center of the Eastern nation, to identify and promote partnerships and opportunities for economic, innovation and development.

The diplomat was received at the headquarters of Grupo Alibaba, a leading firm in online e-commerce between companies, retail sales and small merchants; which also offers online payment services, a price comparison search engine and data storage services in the cloud.

During her tour, she learned about the experience of this company, which has achieved international standards in the trade of goods, reducing delivery times and improving the quality of its products, which has led it to become one of the fastest growing chinese companies in recent years.

In another agenda item, the Vice Chancellor of the Republic toured the Dafeng Industry Co. plant, one of the largest companies in the asian country dedicated to equipping public, sports, and cultural spaces.

Precisely, during this visit, he learned firsthand the leadership of the company in terms of integrated solutions for various industries, as well as its offer of technology and content services, among others that may be of great interest to the initiatives of El Salvador in terms of innovation.

Likewise, the Foreign Ministry representative made important approaches with Dahua Technology and Tuya Inc, two companies dedicated to technological innovation.

Dahua Technology is a leading company in the field of video, noted for its implementation of artificial intelligence technology in companies and cities worldwide. Tuya Inc. is a global platform that offers intelligent solutions that also promote environmental goals and ESG criteria.

Additionally, Vice Minister Mira met with companies specializing in connectivity and technology services, including China Mobile, with whom she discussed opportunities for the use of these systems in digital innovation, security, environmental and city planning initiatives, among others.

"Recognizing the experience of all these companies in their areas of action and business, we shared with them the portfolio of strategic projects of the Government of El Salvador, aiming to realize opportunities for partnerships and joint work", said the official. The mission of the Vice Chancellor of the Republic in Hangzhou also included a meeting with the municipality, with the aim of generating links with this locality for the promotion and exploitation of opportunities for collaboration, trade, and investment.
