The Viceministerio de Transporte through its social networks warns the population about fines, to motorists who do not comply with the following rules:

Failure to yield to pedestrians crossing the pedestrian safety zone (US$34.29).

Parking in a prohibited zone (US$57.14)

Parking more than 30 cm from the curb (US$11.43)

Stopping in pedestrian safety zones (US$34.29)

Parking on the sidewalk (US$57.14)

Parking on curves, bridges or narrow stretches (US$34.29)

VMT agents are inspecting the different streets of San Salvador, to maintain order in the streets of the capital, as well as throughout the country will be in different strategic points to carry out the "Plan Verano 2024".

Plan Verano 2024 is integrated by: Ministerio de Turismo, Dirección General de Migración y Extranjería de El Salvador, Dirección General de Aduanas, Ministerio de Salud, Ministerio de Agricultura, Policia Nacional Civil, Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores, Viceministerio de Transporte, Academia Nacional de Seguridad Pública  and Comisión Ejecutiva Portuaria Autónoma (CEPA).
