Deposits in El Salvador grew 6.3% at the end of september 2023

Deposits in banks, savings banks, cooperative banks and credit institutions in El Salvador reached US$18,373.65 million as of september 2023, according to the Superintendencia del Sistema Financiero (SSF).

At the end of september 2023, deposits in the country reflect a 6.3% growth compared to 2022.

Deposits as of september 2022 totaled US$17,291.06 million; while in 2023 they totaled US$18,373.65 during the same period, reporting an inter-annual growth of US$1,082.6 million.

This growth provides better conditions for users and generates economic dynamism, since it supports the efficient channeling of savings towards investment and maintains secure payment networks that accelerate transactions between individuals/companies in a reliable manner.
