For 65.75% of the population, celebrating Father's Day is very important and important. 38.36% will celebrate out of gratitude and 28% because they consider that their father deserves it, while 20.21% are motivated by tradition or custom, among other responses.
The president of the Defensoría del Consumidor, Ricardo Salazar, informed that 55% of salvadorans will celebrate dad with a meal at home, followed by 27% who will do it in a restaurant, a family outing (11%) and a meal at home (7%).
As on Mother's Day, the most preferred meal time to celebrate with the father will be lunch (55%), followed by dinner (35%), breakfast (8%) and dessert and coffee in the afternoon (2%).
The Defensoría del Consumidor identified among the main habits and preferences, that consumers will mainly give clothes (43.15%), cake (30.48%), lotions (27.05%), footwear (20.21%) and money (19.86%), among other varieties of products such as personal accessories, electronic devices, tools and books. To this end, multiple response options were placed.
72.60% of consumers will shop in malls, 20.55% in e-commerce, 11.30% in supermarkets, 9.25% in markets, 8.56% social networks, 6.16% catalogs, and apps (4.11%).
Forty-six percent of salvadorans have earmarked spending between US$30 and US$60, 29% less than US$30, 15% between US$60 and US$90, and 10% more than US$90. 73% recognize that they take advantage of promotions, offers, and discounts to purchase gifts for dad.
Seventy-one percent of consumers said they will pay cash for the celebration, 2% with store card points, and 1% with a bank transfer.
