Likewise, data from the Bureau of Statistics show that, for the third month of this year, the positive monthly variation of lesser magnitude than that observed during march 2022, where the growth was 0.81% (driven by food and non-alcoholic beverages, transportation, furniture, household goods and ordinary household maintenance).

The largest positive variations were mainly observed in: health 0.49%, miscellaneous goods and services 0.35%, accommodation, water, electricity, gas and other fuels 0.32%, restaurants and hotels 0.29%, food and non-alcoholic beverages 0.23%.

For march of this year, the five main products that influenced the monthly increase in consumer prices are: Güisquil, housing rent, chicken egg, lemon and breakfast service, these were offset by the negative behavior of some products, such as: tomato, air travel, diesel, green chili and regular gasoline.

The accumulated inflation to the third month of this year was 1.03%, which is lower than the 1.21 percentage points registered in the same month of last year, when it reached 2.23%.

This behavior was driven by a lower rate of variation in prices, which contributes to maintaining a relatively lower inflation level than that recorded as of march 2022.
