Ministry of Labor Ahuachapán announces new employment opportunities

With the attendance of more than a hundred job seekers, a call for employment was held at the departmental office of the Ministerio de Trabajo y Previsión Social (MTPS) of Ahuachapán.

There were 132 people, women and men, who attended the call, to opt for one of the positions of packers that a local company made available. The activity was also attended by 4 people with disabilities, who will also apply for one of the positions as packers.

Ministry personnel who work as labor counselors also gave an induction to those who came to the call for applications. The topics covered included how to correctly prepare resumes and how to behave during job interviews, among others.

The Ministry of Labor carries out these activities, under the instructions of the Head of the institution, Rolando Castro, who has asked to redouble efforts so that the population can obtain a decent job.

In addition, the official Rolando Castro, informed about all the programs available to the Ministry, with emphasis on people between 18 and 21 years of age who have no work experience, as well as people over 40 years of age who are considered "seniors" because of their age, in addition to the vulnerable group of people with disabilities.

He explained that the Oportunidades Program is the one that benefits 18 year olds who do not have the experience, and that the government is responsible for paying a subsidy of $200 to the employer for each young person hired.
