The Ministerio de Economía (MINEC) announced the new prices for gasoline and diesel in different areas of the country for the next fortnight.

The new variations in the reference prices of fuels in the country, for this fortnight, are presented as follows:

  • Premium gasoline will increase US$0.06/gallon in the central and eastern zone, while in the western zone it will increase US$0.05/gallon.
  • Regular gasoline will increase US$0.05/gallon in the central and eastern zones, while in the western zone it will increase US$0.04/gallon.
  • Low sulfur diesel will increase US$0.01/gallon in the central and western zones; while in the eastern zone there is no variation.

The Ministerio de Economía announces that the reference prices for fuels will be effective from july 13 to 26, 2021.

The price variation is due to external factors such as:

  • Oil and gasoline reserves show decrease, according to last weekly report of International Energy Agency (AEA).
  • Delay of the meeting of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and allies, generates high prices for the first weeks of july.

The prices published by the Ministerio de Economía are suggested and are established by the service stations, according to supply and demand.
