Gasoline expected to increase up to US$0.10 next week

Written by Evelyn Alas

Julio Villagrán, fuel expert, informed that starting next week fuels are expected to present a strong increase in prices, diesel could increase up to US$0.15 and gasoline up to US$0.10.

According to the expert Villagrán, the price increases in fuels will be maintained due to an increase in the price of a barrel of oil, which in the last days is reaching at least US$80.

Some experts point out that the price of a barrel of Brent oil has reached its annual maximum in 2021, this price had not been observed in more than 2 years and 11 months.

Previously the price of Brent oil was observed oscillating between US$63 and US$67 per barrel, but the exchange recorded at US$80.25.

The salvadoran population may take advantage of the weekend to fill the tank of their vehicles, so that the price increase that will remain in force during the next few days does not affect their economy.

For a better saving in fuels it is recommended:

Take adequate routes: by planning your routes and scheduling your outings, you can save from 10% to 35% of fuel.

Accelerate progressively: wait for the engine temperature to stabilize to demand its full power

Preferably always use self-service so that the total value of your fuel does not increase

Visit the gas station that best suits your needs and is most convenient for you.
