El Salvador was allotted US$200 million in CETES yesterday

The Asociación Salvadoreña de Intermediarios Bursátiles (ASIB) informed through its twitter account that yesterday the Central Government held an auction of 360-day Treasury Certificates (CETES) for US$200 million.

In addition, the Ministry of Finance approached the local market to carry out the auction of Treasury Certificates for US$200 million, obtaining a yield of 7.50%.

In a report made by the Fundación Salvadoreña para el Desarrollo Económico y Social (FUSADES), it is stated that El Salvador reports the highest debt balance in its history with a term of less than one year.

Additionally, the ASIB indicates that CETES may be subject to early redemption by the issuer.

Furthermore, the ASIB, indicates through its social networks that salvadorans can consult with the Brokerage Firms, the information related to the placement dates, characteristics and everything concerning the negotiations of CETES.
