Investments in Central American startups accumulated a total of US$83 million in 2022, equivalent to five times more than seen in the last five years, according to Guatemala-based Cuantico VC and Bloomberg magazine.

The Public Works, Transportation and Housing Committee ruled in favor of approving the new Organic Law of the Comisión Ejecutiva Portuaria Autónoma (CEPA). This regulation would allow the autonomous agency to update its faculties and strengthen the generation of development poles to plan and manage port, airport and railway infrastructure.

World Food Price Index rose in june: FAO

The Food and Agriculture Organization's (FAO) food price index recorded a 1.3% increase in july 2023 over june, but remained 11.8% below the value recorded in the same month last year.
