Uber celebrates its 6th anniversary in the country, where more than 31,000 driver-partners have made at least one trip and 871,000 users have been mobilized with the app.

The Uber app has become a key tool to boost the country's economy, particularly in the cities of San Miguel and Santa Ana where it grew more than 400% in trips during the last two years. In addition, Uber continues to bet on new options that adapt to the needs of users with Uber Moto, an alternative for short and more economical trips.

"Uber Moto makes it possible that with just one click a person can have a motorcycle ride to go wherever they want and from wherever they want. With this modality, we offer a new alternative to save money and time on short trips and avoid congestion in the city, improving traffic and safety for users", said Coto.

Uber Moto already exists in more than 20 cities in Latin America and joins other mobility options and functionalities available in El Salvador, such as Uber Reserve, an option that allows you to request rides up to 30 days in advance, Uber Flash and Flash Moto to send or receive items quickly and economically.

Likewise, Uber aspires to be the most eco-friendly platform in the world with the goal of making trips 100% emission-free by the year 2040, today it is already taking steps with options such as Uber Planet and Uber SUV, both available in San Salvador, with which users can offset the carbon footprint produced during their trips.

In addition, through the Uber Eats app, available in the country since 2018, users can enjoy a wide variety of options, such as:

Diversified businesses: As part of the diversification in the country, since 2020 Uber Eats integrated businesses beyond restaurants to the app, such as convenience stores, pharmacies, florists, and others. El Salvador has more than 45 options of diversified businesses.

Pick-up, an option that allows you to order through the app and pick it up directly at the restaurant or store.

Group order: function where several users can add their order to the same order from the same restaurant and from there split the bill and receive everyone's food at the same time.
