According to Juan Lecaros, regional director of operations for Equifax, explained that the strategy based on customer needs has allowed to create a close bond with the consumer. Earlier this year, members of the Financial Commission visited the offices of Equifax, where executives announced the establishment of the first financial clinic in El Salvador and the launch of MiData.

According to Alejandro Flores, President of Equifax for Central America, there is a growing number of consumers who look to us for support with their credit report. According to statistics as of september 2022, 1,462,588 salvadorans have been assisted since the reforms to the Credit History Law. Likewise, Flores indicated that more than 13,096 alerts have been generated for consumers whose credit history has been consulted by any entity.

"El Salvador is the first country in Central America where Equifax launches a free application for consumers, this undoubtedly ratifies the company's commitment to the country in which we have already invested more than $500 thousand dollars in adapting to the law reforms which allowed the opening nationwide of 11 branches, 3 financial clinics, direct and indirect hiring of specialized talent and investment in data technology that includes the design and development of this App also created by a Salvadoran company with young and innovative talent”, Flores said.
