The Municipal Clinic has played a vital role in health promotion and disease prevention for the population; however, it lacked adequate infrastructure to serve the more than 12,400 people it serves annually, offering comprehensive services that include dentistry, psychology, physiotherapy, laboratory and a first aid kit with basic medicines.

Grupo Roble, in its constant commitment to the economic and social development of the country, assumed the responsibility of supporting this institution in order to create optimal conditions to facilitate the performance of its work. To achieve this, the interventions carried out in this project include the remodeling and internal redistribution of the pre-existing clinic, the enlargement of level 1 to incorporate a tap room and emergency services, the construction of a new two-story building for a multipurpose room, pharmacy and physiotherapy, as well as the renovation of elements such as false ceilings, floors, walls, doors, windows and finishes.

In addition, Grupo Roble implemented a modern air conditioning system, remodeled the façade and provided a complete general painting. It also incorporated the structural reinforcement of the existing mezzanine, improved and expanded the pre-existing electrical network, and installed sanitary fixtures and fixed furniture for the cafeteria, in order to provide a more suitable and functional environment for the performance of the institution's activities.

The Municipal Clinic is of great importance for the inhabitants of the municipality since during all this time it has carried out a series of programs and actions integrally focused on the well-being of the community, among them the Program for Older Adults that stands out for the realization of preventive medical brigades, medical and dental care, as well as educational talks addressing topics such as Diabetes Mellitus and Arterial Hypertension.

In the children's area, the Child Development Centers Program stands out for its medical evaluations, dental cleaning, and delivery of medicines, benefiting more than 250 children with educational talks on personal hygiene. In addition, the Clinic has extended its commitment to Health Promotion and Prevention for municipal employees, offering talks on self-care, workshops on HIV and Diabetes Mellitus, and delivering B12 complex.

This project for the reconstruction of the Municipal Clinic joins other initiatives that Grupo Roble has developed in the municipality of Apopa, such as the construction of the Centro de Desarrollo Infantil (CDI) of Santa Catarina which houses more than 100 children who since february 2022 have the opportunity to receive care and educational training in a safe and adequate place thanks to the intervention carried out by Grupo Roble and Fundación Poma with the “Cimientos: Reconstruyendo Escuelas para El Salvador” program.
