Written by Evelyn Alas

The Ministerio de Trabajo continues to generate the conditions for a greater number of salvadorans to have access to decent employment in private companies in different productive and service sectors.

Proof of this is that in the three tours for employment, carried out so far this year, about 2,300 companies have joined this government initiative, implemented by the Ministerio de Trabajo y Previsión Social, to place in the formal labor market as many salvadorans as possible, who currently do not have a job.

In the recent employment tour for the four departments of the paracentral zone (San Vicente, La Paz, Cuscatlán and Cabañas), which took place this tuesday in Suchitoto, at least 600 entrepreneurs attended, to make vacancies available to the employment exchange of the Ministerio de Trabajo y Previsión Social.

"More than 600 companies in Suchitoto forming part of the employment tour developed by the Ministry of Labor. We work hard in the present to build a country of opportunities for our people. Blessing to bring employment to those who do not have it", said the head of the branch, Rolando Castro.

The events for the four eastern departments, scheduled for february 6 in San Miguel; and for the three western departments, which took place in Santa Ana, on february 15, were attended by around 1,700 entrepreneurs, in support of the initiative.

The projections of the Ministerio de Trabajo y Previsión Social are to place approximately 30,000 salvadorans in the formal employment market by the end of this year, as confirmed by Minister Castro.

As part of the Oportunidades and Inserción Laboral programs, this government portfolio made possible, last year, the hiring of 15,000 Salvadorans in jobs offered by different productive and service sectors.
