The procedures that can be carried out online are: driver's license renewal, circulation card renewal, online payment of infractions, entry of vehicle transfer (with option via telephone) and entry of procedures through kiosk.

"We want to announce a project that we have been working with Sertracen, to have all the procedures digitally in the national territory, to streamline the processes that all salvadorans have to perform", said Rodriguez.

To carry out these procedures online, go to the following website: https://portal.sertracen.com.sv/portalweb/. To renew a driver's license, the DUI number, license control number and identity are entered. Afterwards, a photograph is taken, for which a webcam must be available; a visual acuity and color blindness test is performed. Afterwards, an affidavit and payment are made. The person may opt for home service, at an additional cost, or pick it up at Sertracen.

In the case of renewal of the vehicle registration card, the license plate and card number are entered, the DUI photo is uploaded, the e-mail is validated, the delivery method is selected (home delivery or at Sertracen), and finally the payment is made by debit or credit card. These two procedures can also be done at kiosks located at Sertracen.

Likewise, Rodriguez informed that the procedure for the transfer of vehicles can be done by calling 2233-5555, option number 9. The idea is to make these procedures as agile as possible for all salvadorans.

Meanwhile, the general manager of Sertracen, Bernardo López, highlighted the vision of the Government of El Salvador aimed at modernizing all procedures and that salvadorans can have various options to choose the one that suits them best.
