The main objective of these funds is to strengthen industrial production processes by providing access to non-reimbursable financial resources to acquire productive assets and increase production capacity.
Eight companies in the textile and apparel sector received funds to improve their production processes and presented projects focused on the industrial development of their production plants.
The maximum amount awarded per business was US$10,000, which will be used to purchase new equipment, machinery, and tools to make the companies' production activities more efficient.
These funds are intended to increase productivity by at least 35% of the factories' current installed capacity, increase value added by 25%, and increase employment or income by 20%.
The implementation of this type of competition is framed within the development of Objective 2 of the Plan Cuscatlán "To develop the capacities of alternative economies in order to improve the sustainability of families and communities".
