Written by Karla Gutiérrez

The minister of Finance, Jerson Posada, together with the representative of the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF), Oscar Avalle and CAF's Director of Operational Programming, Brenda Ciuk, inaugurated the workshop entitled "Surviving the context of high debt levels, limited fiscal space, high inflation and high interest rates".

The objective of this important workshop is to generate a space for reflection among the directors of Public Credit of the CAF partner countries, regarding the current macroeconomic context. It also seeks to share challenges and opportunities that arise during high levels of indebtedness, limited fiscal space, high inflation, and high interest rates.

Public Credit directors from more than 20 countries received knowledge and tools that will be useful for sharing experiences, analyzing successful case studies, and exchanging knowledge to generate a collaborative network among them.

The conference will address different topics, including education; digital transformation of the State and productive sectors; finance; climate change; leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution; productive reactivation; gender, diversity, and inclusion, among others.

Finally, minister Jerson Posada thanked CAF for its significant support to the country and reaffirmed the commitment to the country to continue working on the implementation of policies and strategies for the benefit of the country and the region.
