In a television interview, the President of the Banco Central de Reserva, Douglas Rodriguez, specified that violence cost El Salvador around 14% to 19% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

Avon and its program to ending violence against women and girls made a donation to a salvadoran organization that works and provides support to eradicate gender violence. The amount donated is US$35,000, which will be used to implement a project benefiting more than a thousand people in six of the country's departments.
