ABANSA, makes a call to Salvadorans who have received an email requesting their information and mistakenly accessed the link that allows access to your bank account, you should change as soon as possible the password to access digital banking.

If you have provided your financial account credentials, collect all available evidence (screenshots, e-mails, messages, etc.) and contact your banking system immediately.

That is why the institution offers the following recommendations:

Take care of your personal information and be suspicious of any suspicious situation. In April 2021, a social media application reported a security breach that left 533 million users' data exploding. February 2021 leak of phone numbers used in Whatsapp.

Perform your banking operations only from the official sites of the Banks or Mobile Apps. Do not enter through links provided by mails, chats or phone contacts can be fraudelent.

Never provide: Online banking user, password and security codes that are sent to your cell phone and email.

Always use secure websites, verify that the web page address starts with "https" and has a padlock in the address bar.

Never give your security code on the back of your credit or debit card to anyone, as it is for personal use and is only used to make payments or purchases.
