In the fifth installment, 112 beneficiaries received seed capital funds of US$ 3,000 each, as part of the program "Strengthening, establishment and development of agricultural projects", executed by the Centro Nacional de Tecnología Agropecuaria y Forestal (CENTA) and the Instituto Administrador de los Beneficios y Prestaciones Sociales de los Veteranos y Excombatientes (INABVE).

These 112 projects are in addition to the 387 projects already underway in 13 departments of the country, for a total of 499 projects, which have cost US$1.497 million to date.

"This program we are promoting has the goal of delivering seed capital for 617 productive projects to an equal number of families. To date, we have already completed a little more than 80% of the projects", said CENTA's Technology Transfer manager, Francisco Torres.

The event took place at the Centro Cultural de Convivencia Ciudadana in the municipality of Suchitoto. "Receiving this seed capital is a great blessing. We thank everyone who has made it possible for these benefits to reach our communities", said José Luis Mendoza, who attended the event.

The program to Support the Social and Productive Insertion of those selected by INABVE, over 18 months, has strengthened, established and developed 617 agricultural and livestock projects for the same number of beneficiaries. In addition, it is implemented in 13 departments except for La Unión and 129 municipalities in the country, which will be characterized based on social needs.
