Likewise, the monthly variation of producer prices from april 2022 to the same month of 2023, is the period in which april, july and november of the previous year stand out, for being the ones that reported the highest price increases, resulting from higher costs for the manufacturing industry; accommodation and food services activities; professional, scientific and technical activities, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supplies.
For october of last year there was a decrease mainly influenced by a reduction in prices of transportation and storage activities.
The annual variation as of april 2023, was 4.21%, generated mainly by price increases in twelve of its thirteen sections with respect to april 2022.
According to ONEC, the sections with annual variation reflecting increases in their prices are: manufacturing industries 6.93%, accommodation and food service activities 5.81%, artistic, entertainment and recreational activities 5.21%, real estate activities 5.06%, administrative and support services activities 3.87%.
In addition, the accumulated variation in april is 1.24%; data that shows an increase in prices with respect to december 2022.
