Salvadoran products expanded export destinations in 2023

According to data from the Banco Central de Reserva, El Salvador expanded its presence in international trade in 2023, a total of 134 salvadoran products entered for the first time in 52 economies in 4 continents.

Among the exported goods are 17 machinery and equipment products, 12 computer, electronic and optical products, 13 products corresponding to chemical substances and in the food area, El Salvador exported 9 products.

This incursion of Salvadoran goods in new foreign markets, means a contribution and progress of national products in international trade.

Among the countries that made commercial incursion of these products for the first time were: Switzerland, Spain, Bolivia, China, India, Belgium, Colombia, Morocco and Thailand.

It should be noted that the total number of exports according to the v data in 2023 was US$6,046 billion.
