Chivo Wallet will be available starting today

The President of the Republic Nayib Bukele reported on his Twitter account have made the purchase of the first 550 Bitcoins and will seek ways to buy more of this cryptocurrency.

From this day the Central Government will make available the cryptocurrency application "Chivo Wallet", in addition the Bitcoin will be a second legal tender in the country.

By downloading this application people will be able to have US$30 that come in the digital wallet, which can be occupied in promotions that different businesses, for example, restaurants, sale of household items, clothing and shoes stores, among other places.

In addition, the Central Government warns salvadorans not to download fake applications with IDs similar to the Chivo Wallet, this application is 100% free and will not charge any commission for its use.

Also, the President of the Republic indicated that: "Chivo Wallet, at the moment is in technical adjustments for its use, for downloads from the Play Store and IOS stores, only Huawei Galery users will be able to use it".

"For a few moments, Chivo Wallet will not work. We have taken it offline while we increase the capacity of the image capture servers. The installation problems some people had were for that reason. We prefer to correct it before connecting it", said the President of the Republic, Nayib Bukele.
