The Defensoría del Consumidor has withdrawn from the market a little more than 345 products, corresponding to bakery products, alcoholic beverages 29%, cereals and derivatives 21%, carbonated beverages 15%, about 9% cookies, candies, flour products, snacks, dairy products, meats and sausages. These were found in kitchens.

The Defensoría del Consumidor is conducting an intense day of verification in different stores in the city of San Miguel, in the framework of Mother's Day which is an important celebration for salvadorans, therefore the institution is making efforts to ensure the rights of consumers.

The successful convenience store chain will invest a total of US$5.5 million this year 2023 for the expansion of branches in El Salvador and Panama.
