The seventh edition of the Bimbo Global Race, for the third consecutive year, took place virtually, in order to continue caring for each participant in the face of the health crisis caused by COVID-19, without neglecting the importance of exercising and feeling the excitement of being part of an event with a cause.

Bimbo Global Race (BGR) has positioned itself as the company's most important sporting event with a cause, bringing together participants from all over the world simultaneously. This year, 2,890 people in the country decided to run in order to help.

"For Grupo Bimbo, the largest bakery worldwide represents an important achievement, since many families and friends were able to join this great cause, all running and us donating, fulfilling our mission of "bringing delicious and nutritious food in the hands of all", said Karen de Egan, marketing manager Bimbo of El Salvador.

Participants had several options to choose the distance: 1, 3, 5 and 10 kilometers, individually or as a family, and they could complete the selected distance from september 19 to 25 of this year.

For each registration the company donated 20 slices of bread, achieving this year the donation of more than 57,984 slices of bread.

With Bimbo Global Race, Grupo Bimbo, the world's largest bakery company and leader in sustainability, sought to promote a healthy lifestyle among its consumers and contribute with the donation of bread loaves to the communities that need it most through the Banco de Alimentos de El Salvador.

Once again, the race had its own mobile application, which includes training tips, nutrition, healthy recipes and monthly challenges, and where runners can, even after finishing the race, continue to have a training plan to stay in shape.

Once again, Grupo Bimbo, the largest bakery in the world, demonstrates its commitment to the welfare of people and communities where it is present and achieved its goal as a company together with the participants, putting their grain of flour to help more than ever.
