Recently, AES El Salvador through its company AES CLESA delivered to 59 rural communities in the departments of Santa Ana, Sonsonate and Ahuachapán projects of Normalization of Lines to Third Parties (NLT) to guarantee the reliability of the energy supply received by more than 34 thousand clients.
Elva Tobar, beneficiary of one of the projects, considers that access to electricity is essential for the development of her family's daily activities: "We are grateful for having carried out the project, because this allows us to use the energy to connect our appliances and have a better quality of life", she said.
Adán Polanco, Construction Supervisor of AES CLESA, commented that these works consist of replacing old, inadequate and deteriorated electrical installations built by uncertified individuals, with new and modern energy networks that comply with the technical regulations of the Superintendencia General de Electricidad y Telecomunicaciones (SIGET). "At AES CLESA we are carrying out various investment projects that allow us to guarantee the reliability of the energy service we provide to our users", said Polanco.
AES said that, of the total of normalized lines, 13 belong to the department of Ahuachapán; 18 to the department of Sonsonate; and 28 are located in the department of Santa Ana.
Also, AES allocated 130 thousand dollars to electrify three communities in the department of Ahuachapán; and one in the departments of Sonsonate and Santa Ana respectively. In total, these social benefit projects will provide electricity supply to more than 200 families.
With these initiatives, AES El Salvador continues to accelerate the future of energy in the western region of the country, promoting economic and social development through an optimal, constant and safe electric energy service.
