On this occasion, 44 mayors and their respective municipal councils will be elected for the period 2024-2027. Said campaign will conclude next february 28.

For the march 3 elections, 44 trustees, 196 proprietary councilors and 176 alternate councilors will be elected.

It is important to remind the population that the country will no longer have 262 municipalities, now there will only be 44 municipalities, therefore, now it will be a new distribution by districts, as approved by the Legislative Assembly.

Likewise, in the same elections will be held the voting for the 20 salvadoran deputies to the Parlamento Centroamericano (Parlacen).
