Letter of understanding signed between CONAMYPE and UNAC

The Comisión Nacional de la Micro y Pequeña Empresa (CONAMYPE) and the Unidad Normativa de Adquisiciones y Contrataciones de la Administración Pública (UNAC) will sign a letter of understanding to support MSEs participating in the public procurement market.

Through this agreement, CONAMYPE commits to identify MSEs with the potential to become suppliers of the State throughout the national territory, as well as to carry out activities to strengthen this type of companies through fairs, awareness-raising workshops, training and other informative events.

Likewise, CONAMYPE will promote among its clients their incorporation as suppliers in the Electronic System of Public Procurement of El Salvador (COMPRASAL), as well as facilitate the homologation between the MYPE Registry and the COMPRASAL suppliers' registry.

Also, CONAMYPE will train officials of the Directorate of Fund Administration of the country's UACIs on the lines of credit of the del Fondo para el Emprendimiento y Capital de Trabajo (FECAMYPE) and the Programa de Garantías para la Micro y Pequeña Empresa (PROGAMYPE).

UNAC is committed to provide knowledge through training sessions to specialize CONAMYPE's technical team in the application of the regulations and technological tools of the COMPRASAL system.

In addition to supporting CONAMYPE in training processes on the forms and mechanisms of participation in public procurement for MSE companies with the potential to become suppliers to the State.

Likewise, UNAC will include in the guidelines issued to the UACIs information, requirements and annexes related to the incorporation of FECAMYPE and PROGAMYPE financing programs to increase the participation of MSEs in public procurement.
