The idea of this initiative is to streamline and improve the trade process between both countries and the Central American region. "This is the first of six border posts. We will work with the honduran and guatemalan governments to achieve a higher level of integration. We are confident that it will increase trade relations between El Salvador, Honduras and other countries in the region", said Hayem.
The event was attended by salvadoran and honduran officials, who reiterated their commitment to continue working to achieve a higher level of integration and that this will translate into benefits for the citizens of each country.
Minister Medina emphasized that this border post will be the first of its kind in the entire Central American Pacific corridor, which will mark a before and after in the management of trade not only between El Salvador and Honduras, but regionally, eliminating physical barriers and promoting economic and social development.
