Exports of roasted coffee, decaffeinated, husk and substitutes exceeded US$147.1 million at the end of 2023, equivalent to a reduction of 16.8% compared to the US$176.9 million reported in 2022.
Likewise, the BCR indicates that there was a decrease with exports exceeding 635,000 quintals of coffee, 13.8% lower than the 738,000 sold in 2022.
The United States was the main buyer, with US$59.2 million, although the figure plummeted by 20.7% compared to 2022.
Germany, the second destination, also reduced its purchases by 26% with shipments valued at US$11.4 million at the end of last year.
