The Vice Chancellor, Adriana Mira, held meetings with members of the Miami Chamber of Commerce, an organization recognized for its leadership and economic development in the Miami-Dade community, to promote El Salvador.

The diplomat also met with members of the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce to present investment opportunities and the new conditions that El Salvador currently presents.

This association brings together companies in the real estate and hotel sectors, and has contacts with U.S. and multinational companies, among others. It also works with companies in the service, restaurant, and entertainment industries.

Other visits were also made to Miami County authorities, specifically with those in charge of international trade. In this space, in which also participated the Consul General of El Salvador in Doral, Miami, Elsy Vasquez, identified business areas, and evaluated possible visits of business missions to El Salvador.

The U.S. is a key partner for El Salvador since, according to the Banco Central de Reserva (BCR), this country is the second largest investor in the salvadoran region.

The equivalent of 69.2% of U.S. resources went to the supply of electrical energy, while the manufacture of chemical, food, and computer products received more than US$10 million each.
