Tourists have at their disposal a varied cultural offer for New Year's Day

For these New Year's vacations, cultural activities dedicated to children, so they can enjoy with their families, thus guaranteeing learning about our culture and entertainment in the different spaces managed by the Ministry of Culture.

In the Historic Center of San Salvador, from december 25, 2022 to january 1, 2023, the Palacio Nacional will host the “Palacio Nacional para Niños” event, with guided tours in the afternoon; it also invites to the workshop “Recrea tu Baldosa Favorita”,  starting at 2:15 in the afternoon, and the “Ruleta del patrimonio cultural” game, from 3:15 in the afternoon.

In the Parque Infantil de Diversiones there will be artistic presentations for the whole family such as theater, juggling, Christmas bingo, traditional games, clowns, storytellers, among others, on december 25 and january 1, 2023, during extended hours; and children's workshops in the toy library: “Coloreando la Navidad”, on december 25, and Elaboración de Cajita Navideña”on 27, 2:00 pm. m. "We have a very nice toy library inside the Parque Infantil,, a project we worked on together with the First Lady, Gabriela de Bukele", said the minister of Culture, Mariemm Pleitez.

Saburo Hirao Park will have artistic presentations and recreational activities, from december 25 to 30 and january 1, 2:00 p. m. At the Museo de Historia Natural de El Salvador, two recreational workshops "Cosas de Geólogos" will be held on december 27; and on december 29, the workshop "Olor, Color y Formas de las Hojas". From december 25 to 30 and january 1 the museum will be open from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The archaeological parks of Tazumal, San Andrés, Joya de Cerén, Cihuatán and Casa Blanca will offer special events on december 26 and 30, and guided tours. In San Andres, there will be a workshop on Pre-Hispanic Masks on december 26, 2:15 p.m. and the Pre-Hispanic Lottery game. In Joya de Cerén, the workshop “Decoración Prehispánica”, on december 27, 2:15 p.m.; and, afterwards, memory games and the “Peregrina de Joya de Cerén”. Similar activities will be held in the other parks.

In the theaters of San Salvador and Santa Ana there will be guided tours from december 20 to 23; and from december 25 2022 to january 1, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

"We have exceeded the projection of visitors to our cultural spaces. We expected 1.4 million, but (from january 1 to december 18) we have had an influx of more than 1.5 million", said minister Pleitez.
