The United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Tigo El Salvador and the Fundación Empresarial para la Acción Social (FUNDEMAS) launched the "Conectadas" initiative, a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program that unites more than 20 institutions with the objective of contributing to closing the digital and financial gap.

The “Mejores Empresas Centroamericanas” (MECA) program is the first to be developed in the region and is aimed at medium-sized companies with Central American capital and sales between US$1 million and US$12 million dollars.

The Oportunidades program, operated by Agape and led by Fundación Gloria de Kriete, has a solid organizational and administrative structure with coverage of 24.8% of the national territory. It serves its beneficiaries for a period of 5 to 8 years, leaving a positive impact on their lives, education, health and family economy.

HP Inc. introduced HP Amplify Impact, an industry-first partner assessment, resourcing and training program aimed at driving meaningful change through its three pillars of Sustainable Impact: planet, with an emphasis on climate change; people, with an emphasis on human rights and social justice; and community, with an emphasis on bridging the digital divide.

This is the third opportunity where Huawei contributes to the education of young salvadorans, encouraging interest and developing leaders in Information and Communication Technology (ICT). The call for participation is now open and closes on October 30th.
