As the devices we use at home have become more diverse, so have the methods needed to connect them. From cloud-to-cloud connectivity (C2C), wireless connections (WiFi) and the Zigbee method, a variety of different systems have emerged as available for us to control our homes - a diversity that meant it took a while for the Internet of Things (IoT) to be applied consistently within the home.
