Recently the multinational Huawei launched in the country for the fourth consecutive year its flagship Corporate Social Responsibility program “Semillas para el Futuro 2021”, which launches worldwide the same initiative. With this program, the multinational seeks to develop local talent in the ICT area in each country.

“Semillas para el Futuro 2021” offers introductory courses on key technologies: 5G, Cloud Computing and Artificial Intelligence. This program consists of different presentations by various experts who will share their knowledge and experience in different areas related to technology from cybersecurity to the aerospace industry.

The call for participation closes this july 9

"We want to have the maximum participation of salvadorans in this program that we have launched worldwide. We want to reward talents in the Industry and that they hear from brand experts and / or scientists the best perspectives on these issues. We want them to be prepared to face the future with these new technologies", said Sebastian Zhou, CEO of Huawei El Salvador.

The methodology of the program consists of 3 mandatory courses (5G, AI, Cloud Computing), effective courses in ICT, Leadership and Science, and 15 hours of live classes.

The young people must develop an impact project (Tech4Good) in which they take advantage of technology to solve a social and/or environmental problem. Among the requirements are intermediate to advanced English proficiency, interest and/or knowledge in ICT technologies, be graduates or students of ICT careers with an excellent academic record. The 2021 prizes for this program are for the 12 young Huawei tablets.

For the first place a Huawei latest technology computer and a 6-month internship at Huawei El Salvador, second place a Huawei phone, and third place a Huawei band.

This program will last 8 days in "online" mode, young people can also take advantage of taking leadership workshops and cultural exchange with students from other countries, they can learn about chinese culture and modern society oriented to technology companies that are changing the world.

Semillas para el Futuro began in El Salvador in 2018, providing training opportunities for university students pursuing careers related to the technology sector. To date, this program has trained 12 salvadoran students, some of them are even doing their university internships in the company.

Huawei through these initiatives seeks to prepare young people to face the challenges and demands of new technologies worldwide.
