The qualifying jury chose three finalists from El Salvador, after the 80 competing teams received training and coaching to take on the challenge of bringing an idea to reality with more tools, and skills.
The Solutions for the Future contest, organized by Samsung Electronics together with Glasswing International, involves students from 9th to 12th grade (ages 15-18) from Panama, Costa Rica, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Ecuador and the Dominican Republic. The participants had to develop an innovative idea that could be applied in their environment.
In this fourth stage, all selected teams must consolidate their proposals with a Samsung mentor, to present a video that summarizes the objective and importance of their project, and participate by the large vote of the public through social networks. Each video must be promoted to get the most votes from the virtual community in the social networks and official channels of Samsung Latin America.
The voting period starts on October 26th and ends on November 6th. From there, 8 winners will be chosen, one per country, who will go to the grand final for the regional prize. The announcement of the Regional Champion will be made on November 27th.
The salvadoran teams are ready to present each of their projects to the media during the webinar held on November 3rd. The students, from the 3 semi-finalist campuses, are excited to announce details of the selected proposals.
