Written by Evelyn Alas

The Comisión Nacional de la Micro y Pequeña Empresa (CONAMYPE), presented the proposal of the Economic Integration Policy Project for Micro and Small Enterprises (MYPE) to departmental governors and municipal governments, with the objective of generating agreements and commitments for the articulation of the implementation.

We must segment the laws and regulations regarding the economic public of the company, from the municipalities can make these adjustments. Professionalization and formalization must be guided by the main actor of the local economy, such as the mayors.

According to the President of CONAMYPE, Paul Steiner, 95% of salvadoran companies are self-employed, small farmers, subsistence entrepreneurs, with a turnover of less than US$1,000 per month.

You, governors and mayors, are the key to impacting the economy of salvadorans, because you can facilitate the creation of local, regional and departmental economies.
