CONAMYPE developed "Pasarela Smoda Surf City" in La Libertad

Written by Evelyn Alas

The Comisión Nacional de la Micro y Pequeña Empresa (CONAMYPE), together with the Fondo Especial de los Recursos Provenientes de la Privatización de ANTEL (FANTEL), with the support of El Salvador Travel, developed the "Pasarela Smoda Surf City" and creative fair in the Malecon of the Port of La Libertad.

During the activity, 22 MSEs belonging to the SMODA Cluster of clothing, accessories and footwear participated in the creation of the fashion collection "Eutopía Edición 2022".

The "Eutopia Collection" is an imaginative representation of an ideal future, and illustrates the perfect fusion between the natural and artificial, which is enlivened by a palette of rich and warm colors, which allows nature to take over the "living" materials with patterns that take the tribal and geometric origins with hyperreal designs.

With the “Pasarela SMODA Surf City” a series of activities developed in order to support the promotion and marketing of products made by MSEs belonging to the SMODA Cluster during 2022.

SMODA is a program designed by CONAMYPE since 2019, where productive and commercial relationships are fostered among participating companies, in order to develop products of international demand that reflect the spirit and feelings of salvadorans.

Currently, there are more than 70 MSEs that make up SMODA, which are advised by a creative committee of distinguished designers in the country, who share their knowledge and experience ad honorem.

The cluster has promoted salvadoran entrepreneurs, micro and small companies in the creative fashion industry, dedicated to apparel and textile design, clothing, footwear, handbags, accessories, fabrics and textile surface interventions, which strategically collaborate in the development of designer products.

CONAMYPE has developed a process to strengthen the technical and entrepreneurial capacities of the participating MSEs, which, according to a previous diagnosis, allows identifying the needs of each of the companies and outlining a personalized work path that includes several areas of innovative and creative development.

This CONAMYPE strategy seeks to group together those companies that have a defined brand, an innovative product and have made progress in their design and production processes for their business, productive and commercial development through joint initiatives that promote productive linkages, associativity and the opening of new markets.
