“Mujer y Negocios 2022” diploma course closes and an exhibition of products of participating businesswomen is developed

The Comisión Nacional de la Micro y Pequeña Empresa (CONAMYPE) with the support of the Fondo Especial de los Recursos provenientes de la Privatización de ANTEL (FANTEL) developed the closing ceremony of the diploma course “Mujer y Negocios 2022”.

There were 55 women participants of the diploma course “Mujer y Negocios 2022” trained through the 3 Women's Entrepreneurship windows: San Martín, Colón and Santa Ana; between April and July of this year, who will receive their diplomas.

Also, during the closing ceremony, 10 companies led by women who participated in the course had the opportunity to present their products and services to the audience.

The “Mujer y Negocios” diploma course consists of a platform for accelerating business ideas for women entrepreneurs, providing them with training services, advice, mentoring, networking, business networks and support for the construction and validation of business models.

Through this certification, the entrepreneurs can access other business development services for dynamic productive units with accelerated growth potential.

The main results of this process include:                    

66 women trained with the Lean Start Up "Customer Development" methodology.

55 women graduated with business models, ready to manage the transition of their companies to other levels of growth.

55 women entrepreneurs recognized for their high impact and in the chains prioritized by CONAMYPE and FANTEL Value Chains: Agribusiness (20%), Textile and apparel (42%), Footwear (2%), services (11%) and other sectors (25%).

15 women received special recognition for their performance in the business model presentation panels.

10 women entrepreneurs exhibiting outstanding products and services from the business model presentation panel

46 % of women entrepreneurs have reported that they have made improvements to their products

51% of women entrepreneurs have new designs for their products

35 % of the entrepreneurs attended reported that they have increased their clients

27 % of the participants mentioned that they have made strategic alliances.

57 % of the entrepreneurs have expanded their network of contacts.

New jobs have been generated: 21 for men and 32 for women; total: 53 jobs generated.

This type of program is enabling women to strengthen their business ideas and make them more profitable, while at the same time generating linkages between MYPES in order to strengthen the value chain and meet market needs.
